Hello again

Hey, just stopping by to say hi again after being away for a fair old while. I've not knapped much over the past year and have spent most of my making time on spoons and sticks, and will try to post a few when i return home next week now that it's "on topic" with the new site name etc.
I've recently started knapping again after my vice broke and i got tired of cutting my hands with metal and thought that i would go back to cutting my palms with stone and bashing my thumb to bits again. I broke a lovely long TV glass blade yesterday too... it took an age to turn the edge all the way around, i started to make some nice thinning flakes and replace the flat faces with lovely scars when it broke in two i i remembered that i should probs have been thinning from the ends first. Meh, lesson learned and smaller blades to be made from the resulting bits.
So i'm back into knapping again, and cant go to bed or leave the house on time without bashing the rocks together for another ten minutes. At last i wont have a house with wood shavings trodden into the carpets. Just glass and flint shards

Hi, long time no see. As you can see we've changed things a bit so you could post about your stick and spoon making on here too. I tried carving a stick a few weeks ago not great, but they would make great knife handles if I can improve or maybe I should try and find a wood carver to team up with, they make the handles and I make the blades.
