Ha. I was going to post this up yesterday but I only had the photo with no details, and I ran out of time...
Nice slim shape and excellent quality flint, Type III I think!

At first I thought type I 'd' as they were shorter, designed to be hafted and not parallel flaked, but the tang would be flat and the handle looks very round on that one. So more likely a type III, kinda makes all that stitching pointless if you're gonna cover it up though.

Just off the production line. Really love the piece of flint in the first, the picture doesn't do it justice. A bugger to do the point with that urchin there. Sadly both sold as part of an order and leaving tomorrow.

Good man, I know what you mean about those sodding inclusions, Looks like you managed to power a good long flake right through it though!

" />This was one I made a little while ago, instead of using sinew for binding the notches, I used gut in the form of sausage casings bought from butchers sundries (on Amazon), you get 5 meters dried and salted for under £3. You just soak overnight and apply and the stuff shrinks right down. The handle wrap is of chamois leather glued down and the handle was finished with tinted wax.

That's really nice looking. I love the sausage idea.
