I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. cats look down on us but pigs treat us as equals.

Stupidity got us into this mess, why can't it get us out

I must be a nerd Very Happy  my thought is - wow I am going to be playing with a lighter later, I wonder if it would ignite by whacking it with a hammer.

My thought is, I must go out and buy a lighter, then test it with flint ground up to different textures or not ground at all.

just tried it, it takes some doing to get a pile of flint chippings so maybe time to remove the flint and grind up, interesting to use natural ground flint must give that one a go,

I gave it a go, while I was making the pile I accidental sparked and the powder caught fire. Now flint dust is non-flammable so I guessed the lighter flint must be made of something else and a quick search came up with this. I guess this also answers the question in the other post too, as to what is the flint in a flint firlighter made of.... not flint.
