Archaeologists have now found 2,400 flints
A firefighter who found Stone Age flints at the fire station he worked at 40 years ago says he is "thrilled" that find has now led to a nationally-important archaeological discovery.

Fascinating find but I'm not too sure about the reliability of the information in the article.

You got that right! They're from the Upper Palaeolithic In the early part there where still Neanderthals loitering about upto about 35000 years ago but in the Late Upper Palaeolithic you are dealing with only Homo Sapiens.
