I saw the story about a week ago, what was interesting was hearing almost everyone interpret it as evidence modern humans are 95,000 years older than first thought, as no hominid could have done this.
I even tried to point out to one that for a hominid species like Heidelberg that made stone tools of the quality it did, putting a stone on a stick is a pretty simple thing to do in comparison but to no avail.
Another proposed even old find of a spearhead is at Kathu Pan, 500,000 ya
