It this same mysterious tree I have been using for about the year now. Most likely a kind of poplar.

Veeery nice, are you still using white poplar for the handles? If so that wood looks way cool, especially on the second one.

Yes, still using the same wood. Went to the park to pick up some more, the tree in question had been sawn up and was now a pile of logs. Grabbed as many as I could carry, hopefully a few years supply.
