finding flint

Hi all, im brand new to this, and need flint!!!!!
I live in Sheffield south Yorkshire, can travel, can pay !!!! anyone help?

Check out the Resources Forum, it's dedicated to finding flint. If you can travel to Norfolk, there are several chalk quarries that service knappers and Cromer beach. Another option is buying from local builders who build in flint. 

In prehistoric times Yorkshire was a major centre for flint tool manufacture, so the should be some locally, if you can find it.

thanks for this. I may travel down to Norfolk. not sure where in Yorkshire ? some mention of Bridlington beach on other enquiries.

I added a list of chalk quarries in Yorkshire to the Resources forum. There seem to be more in Yorkshire than anywhere else in the country. Hopefully one will have decent quality flint.
