new layout

i like the new layout and look, but not sure about the pic of phil at the top i am not keen on him lol

funnily enough the main motivation for all the pics, apart from them being pretty decent shots and relevant to UK knapping was they were on Flickr with a creative common license, so at least for the logo this site has non stolen images. However if you send me a shot of yourself digging about in the mud, I'll happily replace him.

had a go at knapping a bit of lint i picked up in oxford today but it kept fracturing.

Ahhh, the joys of knapping frost damaged flint(?). I found a bit of flint in a customer's garden (ex rockery), took one hit at it and ended up with about 100 tiny, totally unknappible pieces.



This hobby has a steep learning curve.

Ok it's been a while now, hopefully everyone thinks the change is an improvement, if not let me know. I chose lime green as my favourite colour, increased the font size way above normal forum size to for ease of reading, especially among older readers, created a logo that explains the forum in pictures visually, but worry that it maybe a bit BNP. I'd appreciate honest criticism. Is there anything I can improve, change fonts, colours ect, pics, logo and so on? cheers.

i think the layout is great and the log spot on, nothing i would change, i also like the way i can now look through the posts since my last visit - i dont think this was on the original one unless i missed it. very good work and a great site well done,

No complaints from me. Nice big print for the tired eyes.
