Experimental Knapping

An interesting vid on flint knapping and experimental archaeology. Those 20cm blades are pretty impressive, I definitely want one.

interesting - thanks - love the long blades, the flint has a better ring to it when struck compared to what i have.

Nice to see a short interview with Erret Callahan making danish daggers and being very modest about his work, he has made an excellent copy of the famous Hindsgavl dagger (in obsidian) stitching and all, so no amateur! Also the triple crested long blade core was new to me. Makes so much sense to have more points to go from if one gnarls up.

Nice vid, that first bit could be the best explanation of what knapping is the the layman ever.
