The Stonehenge Dagger
An interesting object, I was trying to find details and pictures of it but couldn't. If anyone knows where any are I'd be grateful.
Re: The Stonehenge Dagger
Oooh arr... set up the platforms with some grinding, and you'll get that thin! mind you he wasn't that far off.
It's essentially a regular beaker dagger, a little less wide as it's not primo flint, also there are no notches (optional!) I'll see what I can find on the beast...

Re: The Stonehenge Dagger
It's been a while since I've managed to get around to doing some knapping for myself. Been so busy making stuff for other people. I posted this vid nearly 5 years ago have been meaning to have a crack since then, so this week I did.
Here's the result, it's a bit bigger than the original. it's 165 x 60 x 12 mm. Not sure how thin the original is to compare

Good profile shot, got through the inclusions well and it's looking really good (I'm a sucker for a Beaker dagger). Is that handle still some of that White Poplar you got some years back?

Yes, that wood's still going strong, though my piece for anything that thick. The inclusions knapped perfectly, looks like a difficult piece of flint but not so, better than most pure black I've knapped.
