Thanks for the links, i have been to both quarries in the past with my dad when he was collecting stone - as fare as i am aware the Essingtone quarry was mainly sand and gravel - it is now closed and the shropshire quarry is limestone -

the Essingtone on s just a couple of mile from me. might have to call in to have another look.

Does the limestone one have any chert?
