Flint Knapped Stone Tool still used in Turkey, 1972
Amazing film about the mining of flint, knapping it and using it to make threshing sledges in Turkey, a tradition that started in the stone age.
The tools they are using are remarkably similar to Brandon tools, also the way the blade core is formed is nothing like modern knappers methodology or Brandon's. However the unique wrist technique used with the hammer to remove the blades is identical to Brandon. The observation of knapping deforming the left hand seems so open up a whole new area of study in prehistoric remains.

Thanks for posting - enjoyed watching that - makes you wonder if some of the blades found were used in this way.
