thats brilliant but it made me gasp when it broke.

That man is good! Very interesting the way he almost fully worked the one side.

It did give me heart that even such an experienced knapper can get so close to finishing and still have the flint end up in pieces.

Fickle this flint isn't it.......

There was a 30min TV documentary by a US company about a very experienced knapper, he said during the show his break rate was over 50% percent.

If I could get my break rate down to under 90%, I'd be happy.

Ok, I admit that's a slight exaggeration, but not by much.
