Antler awls Empty Antler awls

Found some useful looking awls that look rather like knapping pressure flakers or notching tools at http://www.crossmancrafts.co.uk/sewing/ at a reasonable price, they sell one tipped with antler as well as steel. I'm tempted, beats making your own!

Interesting, it's very thin though I wonder if it could take the pressure?

This site is already on my favourites list. I do leatherworking, and they have a fine selection of quality needles.

Must admit, didn't think about the awls for pressure knapping. Bit iffy about how thin they are myself.
