Just an opportunity for people to introduce themselves

Hello everyone, 

I’m new here and I’ve noticed that there isn’t a lot of recent posts, so I’m just testing the water really to see who is still active on this forum. 

Feel free to introduce yourselves, and hopefully we’ll get some good discussions going soon. 

I’ll go first; my name is Dan, I’m 30, a father of two and a drayman by trade… I’ve recently started knapping (around 6 months ago) and now I am totally hooked! I’m also fascinated with anything Stone Age.

I’m from Croydon… not too many knappers here lol

Croydon, I used to work there, lots of good quality flint in those hills.

That’s true, I’m always stumbling over flint locally - but it’s difficult to find bigger pieces… but perhaps I’m looking in the wrong places.
May I ask how long you’ve been knapping?

20 years now, so just a beginner.

Wow, that’s impressive. I’m very new to knapping compared to the likes of you then lol I’ve been knapping around 6-7 months now, but I’ve been practicing at every opportunity. In fact, I’ve pretty much run out of material I’ve been at it so much lol.
