I had an opportunity to handle some Palaeolithic finds from the museum a little while ago, this little fella is something you rarely see and get a chance to liberate from its bag. It's a stemmed point from the Upper Palaeolithic.

Nice, the final inward flake from the base to remove the ridge and flatten the tang, possibly squeezing down with the finger where the knapper wanted the flake to terminate. And then making a microlith from the detached flake.

Yup, its kinda fluted, that must be deliberate.
