splendid thread, and great pics - are these all your own work? there are some fine, fine pieces here.
i work with a lot of glass crafts folk, and stealing an idea on PP we will be collaborating "at some point" to make coloured/patterned glass blanks for knapping - it could take quite a while before this happens, but it would be by the summer i expect to co-incide with a glass exhibition we host where i work - more info when and if it happens

Yup, all my own work.
Finding decent glass in the UK is a pain there's a good market for decent glass blanks, I could PM you a few links if you like.

Opal's lovely to work with, managed to get hold of a load of yellow stuff, as in the first pic, but haven't seen any at a reasonable price since. Easiest stuff around to knap, probably less than a quarter as tough as glass.
