NORFOLK QUARRIES (NEEDHAM'S TRIP) Empty NORFOLK QUARRIES (NEEDHAM'S TRIP)

Hi All. Haven't posted in a while. Drove out to Norfolk last Friday with a friend of mine, expecting to go to Needham's and grab a load of flints to keep me going over the winter (expecting to spend maybe a £100 if I had to), fortuitously, my friend who was driving, turned left at the entrance to Needham's and we found ourselves in the gravel quarry next door to Needham's. Anyway, the upshot of it was they have flint of varying sizes and quality on their reject pile @ just shy of £30 a ton. So I forgot about Needham's and grabbed about two barrow loads for the princely sum of £20. Apparently the good Lord (Will) himself pays the occasional visit there . . . Initial impressions from the couple of bits I've cracked open so far are good. So now have a pallet load of flints to go at over the next few months: Happy Days! Very Happy
